TVI (Televisão Independente) is a private Portuguese television channel and one of the most prominent channels in Portugal. It was launched on February 20, 1993, and is considered the second private channel in the country after SIC. The channel offers a variety of programs including Portuguese series, reality shows, talk shows, and news. It broadcasts 24/7 and targets a wide audience both inside Portugal and abroad, especially in Portuguese-speaking countries. It is owned by Media Capital, which is part of the Spanish group Prisa.
